The accommodations included in this itinerary are 3-4* star hotels and multishare unit BnB/ Lodges.
This trip includes a combination of public and private transportation. We take a public shuttle to/from Tongariro National Park and from Queenstown to Te Anau/Milford Sound. The rest is private transportation.
This tour requires a minimum of 6 participants and a maximum of 16 participants in order to ensure the best small group tour experience. With such a small group, you’ll be able to enjoy activities that would not be accessible with more people.
There are several walking opportunities throughout this trip. You should be sure to bring a hat, sun protection, and sturdy, comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots.
The weather in New Zealand in November/ December is generally mild and pleasant with sunny days and little rainfall, but in the Alpine regions, it can be unpredictable. It's best to wear layers at all times of the year in case conditions change during the day. At night, the temperature can really drop, so bring warm clothes.
A single supplement is available if you’d prefer to not share a room on this trip, but is based on availability.
With time spent in the lesser visited regions of the South Island, you'll have time to visit some places others don't.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
Your payments (excluding deposits) are refundable or movable to another Trip BEFORE the final payment due date, which is 90 days prior to the start date of the trip. AFTER the final payment due date, payments are non-refundable, non-movable, and non-transferable.
All cancellations must be advised in writing. We calculate your refund on the day we receive written notice of cancellation. The applicable cancellation fees shall be determined with reference to the date on which the request to cancel is received by Adventure People. All refunds will be processed within a few days of your cancellation.
Adventure people and its agents reserve the right to cancel a reservation if payment is not made on time, in which case the cancellation fees above will apply. We highly recommend trip interruption and cancellation insurance to cover any cancellation fees.
In the rare case that we have inadequate participant attendance on a trip, Adventure People reserves the right to cancel trips, in which case all money paid to Adventure People will be fully refunded or you will have the option of receiving a voucher to use for a different trip. Adventure People CANNOT be held responsible for any personal expenses, such as airline tickets due to changes in itineraries or tour cancellations. Please be sure to check with your travel coordinator to confirm the trip status before booking your flight.
Please be advised, that Adventure People reserves the right to decline or accept or dismiss any person as a tour participant should such a person’s behavior, health, or mental condition impede the operation of the trip.

TRAVEL INSURANCE
Travel insurance is required on our travel club trips with a minimum coverage of $200,000 for medical evacuation and repatriation covering all applicable dates of travel. It will also protect you in case of illness, injury, theft, and cancellations. It's protection in case anything goes wrong. Please email your policy to bookings@adventurepeople.net after purchasing.
